Please note that DSTV Stream and Showmax do NOT run on this TV, but you can download & install Waka TV from the browser on the TV at playwakatv.com - it has most of the channels on DSTV for a fraction of the price (all the mnet movie channels, Telemundo, Discovery, TLC, TNT, SABC 1, 2, 3, eTV and all the e-movie channels, Kyknet, Kyknet & Kie, Real Time, ID Tv, Food channel, HGTV, Travel channel, History channel, Nat Geo, all supersport channels etc.) or a DSTV decoder, DVD player or other smart box can also be played through the available HDMI or AV inputs.

The TV also does NOT have bluetooth, but it has a 3.5mm earphone output which can take an aux cable for external speakers.

Please also take note of the following:

Some apps like Youtube won't run if the date isn't correct on the TV (it says that you are not connected), so after setting up the wifi on the TV, please just go into the date settings and enable the auto-date and auto-timezone settings so the TV will auto-update date and time from the wifi service provider. This also happens after power was interupted on the TV (after load-shedding or if TV was plugged out). Also after power interuption, the wifi need to be activated again and then it will pick up and connect to previously set wifi.

Some apps like Netflix, Chrome etc. require a mouse to navigate around - when you press the BLUE button on the remote, it toggles between "mouse mode" and "normal mode" and it works well, but to make life easier a wireless mouse & keyboard set (of which a USB dongle will be inserted into a USB input) is recommended, but it is not essential for smooth operation and navigation.

This is a budget TV, and the operating system is not the fastest in the world (just like a budget car cannot do 200km/h), so as with any entry level computer, sometimes it takes a few seconds to perform a function and requires a little bit of patience, but the overall performance of the system is quite acceptable, and the picture and sound quality is extraordinary for a budget TV.
