Galaxy Watch5 Pro. How to navigate a GPX route on Galaxy Watch5 Pro. Step 1. Download and view a GPX file. Get your watch and phone ready. Galaxy Watch5 Pro and an unfolded Galaxy Z Fold4. Disclaimer: Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro sold separately. Find a GPX format workout route (where you want to go) on the web or an application to download to your phone and open it on My Files. Disclaimer: GPX is a standard file type for storing and exchanging routes. On an open Galaxy Z Fold4, text is entered into a search engine. 380 Beach Road GPX file. Then, an icon representing a GPX file is shown loading into to the My Files icon. Once you’ve checked the details of the route, choose between Cycling and Hiking and tap on Save. The Cover Screen of a Galaxy Z Fold4 displays a map with a route highlighted in blue. Its start and finish points are marked. Below are route details: 380 Beach Road. Duration: three hours two minutes twenty seconds. Distance: 34.5 kilometers. Elevation gain: 195 meters. Average speed: 24 kilometers per hour. Average gradient: 3.5 percent. The page is scrolled further down to show advanced details like route name and workout type. The Save button is tapped. Select Watch and tap on Start. On the device’s screen, when prompted with the question, “Start a workout with this route?” Watch is selected and the Start button is tapped. Next, a Galaxy Watch5 Pro is seen. Its display shows a countdown timer with 380 Beach Road set as the target. At the bottom is a Tap to skip option. After the three-second countdown, a map appears indicating the actual route travelled in green and the saved route in blue. Swiping left on the watch’s display moves through various widget tiles, including daily activity and exercise selections before showing the Route tile. The route is now visible in Route tile. Tap on it to proceed and preview the details. On the watch display, the Route tile is tapped. It opens a route summary with a map. 380 Beach Road. Distance: 8.25 kilometers. Elevation gain: 425.0 meters. Scrolling down, a reverse route toggle is seen with a Start button. Tap on Start to explore the route with voice or vibration-guided navigation. A Galaxy Watch5 Pro display shows an active workout route in progress. Swipe right on the screen to open Settings. When swiped right, the display shows a menu with four buttons: new, pause, settings, and finish, along with an elapsed time indicator with minutes, seconds, and milliseconds. Settings is tapped and another menu shows the active GPS indicator and heart rate indicating current heart rate as 89. Scrolling down the Cycling menu, options for workout screen and track back are seen. Track back is tapped. The next screen asks, “Start tracking back?” and the check mark is tapped. A Galaxy Watch5 Pro display shows an active workout map. After finishing hiking or cycling, you can record the workout route and add it to routes on Samsung Health. Swiping left on the display brings up a menu with four buttons: new, pause, settings, and finish along with an elapsed time indicator in minutes, seconds, and milliseconds. The finish button is tapped on the watch screen. At the same time, a Galaxy Z Fold4 is seen from the Cover Screen. It shows the Cycling workout summary, including the date, start and finish time, total elapsed time, calories burned, number of sessions, actual traveled route, and viewable graphs like pace, elevation, cadence, and heart rate. In the upper right-hand corner, the vertical three dot menu icon is tapped. Expanded menu items include name this workout, delete, add to route, and export as GPX file. Name this route is tapped and the name “Week route” is applied. Next, add to routes is tapped. To share, export it right from the app. GPX file icon.
